Our Leader
John L. Coleman, Jr. has over 38 years of
non-profit experience and over 21 years in senior management as an Executive Director or an Executive Director Coach of a national youth-serving organization. His diverse background provides a wealth of experiences which enables him to view each client from a comprehensive perspective.
His various leadership roles and life experiences have contributed to his expertise and holistic perspective. John has excelled in fundraising, raising over $18 million in annual giving in his illustrious 38-year career. He delivered stellar leadership to several top-level Boards of community leaders and recruited over 100 new community leaders during his tenure as Executive Director over the past 21 years.
John has excelled in Strategic Planning. Has led the Board of Directors and his staff in developing three different 5-year Strategic/Growth Plans and one Operational - Strategic Plan, 2021-2023, achieving 90% of the plan’s measurable goals. He and his team hosted annual Board of Directors’ Strategic Retreats to review and make annual updates to the strategic/growth plans.
A graduate of the University of Kansas, majoring in mathematics. He and his wife have been married 27 years and have two daughters in college. Their oldest daughter is a recent college graduate, majoring in Psychology, and their youngest daughter is a junior in college majoring in Chemistry and a pre-dental candidate. He is an avid KC Chiefs fan, avid golfer, and loves to ski.
